HTC Butterfly available for pre-order in the UK

One of the most exciting phones hitting the market is ready for pre-order in the UK; sort of. The HTC Butterfly, or Droid DNA as it's known in the US, is finally ready to be reserved for buyers in the UK. Online retailer Expansys has posted the listing today, however, there is some critical information missing from the listing such as price and release date.

Samsung announces the rest of its Galaxy S III “Premium Suite” update

At the end of last week, Samsung released a video for the Galaxy S III Premium Suite upgrade that broke down some of the new features we should expect to see on the device such as multi-window. Now, Samsung has pushed part two of the video which lets us see the rest of the features that we will be enjoying on the S III. There is definitely some good stuff, and it gives users even more reason to constantly check that update screen on their devices.

Motorola Mobility to leave South Korea in 2013

Motorola is going to be leaving South Korea next year as part of the reorganization that has been happening within the company since Google purchased them. Only about 10% of Motorola's employees from the local research and development department will remain with the company. Those that do will be offered relocation packages.

Sony releases flash tool for Xperia devices

Sony has released a new flash tool for its Xperia devices. This tool will only work for Xperia devices with an unlocked boot loader. The purpose of the tool is to take devices that have a custom firmware installed and moving it back to official Sony software. Sony is calling this new software a beta, so that means it's not 100% finished.

Kindle Fire and Fire HD will receive Voice Guide and Explore by Touch features early next year

Kindle Fire and Fire HD owners are going to get some exciting new accessibility features during the early part of 2013. These new features are designed to help users who are vision impaired make use of Amazon's popular tablets. The new features are called Voice Guide and Explore by Touch. These features were previously only available on Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch devices.

Samsung Galaxy S III gets Jelly Bean 4.1.2 “Premium Suite” update

Samsung has begun rolling out the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update for Galaxy S III owners. Samsung calls the new features in the update "Premium Suite." It adds features that users are already enjoying on the Galaxy Note II to the incredibly popular Samsung phone. So far, users in Poland have received the update while users in India, the UK, France, Sweden, Italy, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Algeria should see it soon.

HTC Butterfly X920e coming to China this month; 3G Butterfly goes global

Last month, HTC showed off the J Butterfly, a monster of a smartphone with a 5-inch screen and impressive hardware under the hood. The J Butterfly that was first shown off was Japan only, with the device coming to the US as the Droid DNA. Now, buyers in China will be able to grad a version of the phone in a couple of weeks. It looks like the International version will be HTC Butterfly with 3G connectivity.
