We’re only waiting for the ZTE Nubia Z11 to be released in the US and China. It seems that the ZTE Blade X3, X5, X9, and that Blade S7 with glass black and metal build released in the Russian market recently are not enough for the Chinese OEM to slow down. A new smartphone was just introduced by the company that is said to be the cheapest Android phone with fingerprint sensor to date.

The ZTE Blade A1 is an entry-level phone that features a 5-inch 720p HD display screen, 16GB built-in storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing selfie shooter, LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, an MTK MT6735 1.3GHz quad core processor, and a 2800mAh battery. Of course, there’s the fingerprint scanner found at the back which can be used for security and authentication purposes. Phone is powered by Android Lollipop out of the box and is mainly made of plastic.

The device will be available in China online via JD.com before the year ends. The ZTE Blade A1 is very affordable at only 599 CNY which is about $93 in the US. Pre-orders are now open. No word if the sub $100 smartphone will be available outside of China. It’s certainly one affordable Android device with okay specs for a real budget mobile phone.
