ZTE seems to be very busy these days introducing new smartphone models left and right. Just the other day, the ZTE Axon was made available in eBay, Newegg, and Amazon. A few days before that, the company rolled out three new V3 phone models with different connectivity options. Boost Mobile released the ZTE Boost Max+ also in July.
Let’s not forget the ZTE Blade D6 and those budget phones on AT&T and Cricket released last June. This time, ZTE USA is proud to introduce the new ZTE Obsidian smartphone which will be ready for everyone on August 13 only from T-Mobile.
The new ZTE Obsidian smartphone comes equipped with the following: a 4.5-inch FWVGA display screen, 5 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing cam, 1.0 GHz Mediatek MT6735 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB built-in storage, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and LTE connectivity. Device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box so you can enjoy Material Design, real-time shadows, new Gmail design, and those dynamic notifications.
If you buy this unit from T-Mobile, you will have to buy a SIM Starter Kit before you can take advantage of the carrier’s T-Mobile Data Strong network. No information on pricing yet but T-Mobile and ZTE guarantee that the Obsidian will be very affordable. Maybe something below $200…we’ll see.
