ZTE is one of the few Chinese phone manufacturers in the market today that’s quite reliable when it comes to delivering Android smartphones. ZTE phones may not directly compete with the biggest device makers like Samsung or Apple but it certainly has a crowd-following. Thanks to the mobile phones introduced by the brand that remain to be affordable even with specs and features that are good enough.
By “good enough” we mean some specs can be found in high-end phones but cost is still low. ZTE’s next offering is this Nubia X8 which was rumored a few months ago. A teaser was shared over on Weibo, telling us the phone will launch this coming October 15. That’s only a couple of days from today so we’re not surprised that images are leaked prior to official launch.
What’s special about the ZTE Nubia X8 is that phone is believed to have touch-sensitive buttons particularly on the side used to control the volume. This idea is new for a smartphone but since several touch technologies like Force Touch and ClearForce are being introduced, it could just be the start of touch-sensitive buttons. If that’s the case then we can also say that this model will have a fingerprint sensor.
Looking at the images, the Nubia X8 smartphone seems to be bezel-less, making it quite attractive like the ZTE Nubia Z9. Interestingly, there’s a mention of a 4GB RAM so that puts it in the flagship category so we can’t say for sure if this is just mid-range or already considered premium.
