Alongside the launch of ZTE’s latest devices, the Axon 7 and a VR headset, the Chinese OEM is launching their new platform for users to get in touch with other people in the world that use ZTE products as well. Called the Z-Community, it will also serve as a research and development forum for those who are interested in beta testing features and products. To promote this new platform, they are giving away several Axon 7 smartphones as well as Bluetooth speakers.

The Z-Community has 3 spaces that users can explore. Forums is for discussions about any ZTE device, from peer customer support to looking for answers for issues that might come up or if you simply just want to meet fellow ZTE users from all over the world. Their staff will also participate to provide answers to some problems. Labs is for the R&D part of the experience if you want to be a beta tester of new features to discussions about the research phase of future functionalities. Blog is for more long-form writing for those who want to be thought leaders with anything mobile (industry trends, reviews of the latest gadgets, etc.

To encourage people to sign up with the Z-Community and to actually be active, ZTE is giving away five Axon 7 smartphones to the “five most consistently active and value-driving members” staring now until June 5. They will also randomly give out 50 new Bluetooth speakers as well, drawn by site moderators from the most active and consistent members.

The Axon 7 is ZTE’s newest flagship device and was just recently launched in the US. The specs are those for high-end smartphones (5.5” Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage) but what is most surprising is the price point. The regular variant is at $442 while the premium version (6GB RAM, 128GB storage) is at $505.
