The first update we featured for the Xposed Framework was for Android 5.0 almost four years ago. Dozens of related updates have rolled out for this program with the last one released last year. From Lollipop to Marshmallow to Nougat and now Android Pie, the Xposed Framework is being ported for Android 9. It’s still an unofficial move so allow us to remind you to download and install at your own risk. If you want to try this tool, make sure you know what you’ll be doing. If you can’t wait to mod your smartphone or tablet, try the Xposed Framework as it hooks into the Android runtime.
What the Xposed Framework can do is offer you modding options for your phone or tablet. Xposed Modules (the apps) are allowed to execute own methods here. It’s like Magisk Modules but better.
It more than just replaces target file. Xposed Modules need to be updated to Android Pie but developer rovo89 has no plans yet. Don’t worry because some devs know what do. An unofficial port is available to make Xposed work on Android Pie. There is one catch though–the Android Pie device must be rooted with Magisk.
A Magisk Module known as EdXposed is ready for anyone to enter codes that will make the porting possible. One XDA dev already followed the process with Magisk 18.0 on a Google Pixel 3 XL and OnePlus 6. This means it can actually work on even older phones.
Note that this is an official Xposed Framework built. Android Pie isn’t supported officially–not yet–but we expect to hear a related update soon.
