We talked about how this could happen, and some people did make this work on their systems, but a native cross-platform notification system from Android to Windows 10 is big news. Think of it this way, you will no longer need to install third party apps to make sure you get your notifications from your phone on your Windows 10 Action Center.

When Cortana showed up on Android, we had hoped this would happen. But then there was some trouble getting Microsoft’s popular digital assistant stable on Android, and that process to a while to stabilize. Now Cortana is available, mainly through CyanogenMod custom ROMs, and getting your notifications from Android to Windows 10 now seems possible.

A Reddit user first noticed the feature, but he assumed that he got the feature because he was enrolled to the Windows Insider and Cortana for Android test programs. It wasn’t until another Redditor got the feature, and he was not part of either programs, that news of the feature started filtering out.

The Windows 10 notifications are powered by Cortana on Android devices – so make sure Cortana is installed on your device. The digital assistant allows for notification mirroring and universal dismissing between Windows 10 PCs and Android devices linked to the same account. So in fact, now you can dismiss your Clash of Clans notification on your Windows 10 PC and have it be automatically dismissed on your Android phone as well. Cool beans!

Do you guys have this feature now? Tell us about it!

  2. Dismissing the notifications on my windows 10 pc isn’t automatically dismiss them on my android phones aswell, they still appear, and that is surely a disturbing fact.
Anyone know how to get rid of the phones’ notification at all? Great thanks!
