New York City is one of those cities that come alive during the holiday season. Tourists and even residents make it a point to take a tour of the city’s magical holiday spirit. In fact, an estimated 5 million troop to Manhattan in particular, in order to experience the magic of the season through the various window displays of the stores in Madison, Fifth Avenue, and beyond. Now Google will give you the chance to experience this through Winter Wonderland, which you can view on your mobile devices and browsers on your desktop.

The site is a virtual tour of 18 stores’ holiday window display so you can experience what Christmas is like even if you’re far, far away from New York City. They took high-resolution photos of each of the windows, stitched them together so it’s like a panorama view of the city. You can zoom in on the details of the display if you want to see more of their designs. There are also audio guides that you can listen to as the creative directors talk about their process.

Some of the stores have magical window displays like Lord & Taylor’s Enchanted Forest where there are skating bunnies and raccoons fishing on the frozen pond. Barney’s has artist and musician Nick tackling race and gender in sculptures. Saks’ 5th Avenue had designers Carolina Herrera, Marchesa, and Jason Wu to create holiday-themed bespoke couture gowns.

You can view the Window Wonderland display on your desktop’s browser and on your mobile device. You can also use your virtual reality headset like Google Cardboard or Daydream and you can experience the sounds and sights as well, like you’re actually on the streets.
