WhatsApp’s latest update features new emojis that people will probably enjoy, especially those who love talking with their loved ones without using any words. They have also updates the sexual and racial diversity of the emojis, meaning all other non-mainstream identities are represented. The first to implement them natively is Kika Keyboard, a popular virtual keyboard that now automatically loads these emojis so you can access them easily when you want to express yourself through these cute symbols.

Before this update, the new emojis were only accessible to WhatsApp users through the “Emoji Button” that is built in the app. But now the same emojis, that feature other “races” of the usual buttons and even more sexually diverse symbols, will be automatically uploaded to the Kika Keyboard. This is actually the #1 keyboard in the Google Play Store and so this will bring the emojis to a larger audience.

According to Kika Tech’s CEO Bill Hu, when they found out about WhatsApp emoticons, they wanted to prioritize bringing this to their 16 million active daily users. “Kika has always been about helping people communicate their ideas in a way that best represents themselves,” he adds.

To be able to use these new emojis, Kika Keyboard users should load the keyboard plug-in called “EmojiOne”. This is located in the settings section of the app. Just make sure the app has been updated to the latest version by checking through its Google Play Store page.
