Verizon Wireless rolled out the “More Everything” updates back in mid-February. And as of today it looks like another round of changes have been announced. The earlier change dealt with increased data allowances and this time we are seeing discounts for customers adding phones that aren’t under contract.
Specifically, when adding those phones to a More Everything plan. This set of changes will go into effect as of this Thursday, April 17th and the discounts will vary depending on the data allowance on the plan. Verizon has offered the following;
“Customers who choose plans with data allowances of 8 GB or below can add a smartphone for $30, a savings of $10, and customers who choose plans with data allowances of 10 GB and above can add a smartphone for $15, a savings of $25.”
Verizon also clarified how those using the Edge program will be able to take advantage of these discounts. As with many carrier plan options, this could work better for some. In this case those with a full family of smartphones may benefit. There was mention of how four smartphones could get 10GB of data on a More Everything plan for $160 per month, which matches what we’ve been seeing advertised by AT&T.
Otherwise, the More Everything plans include unlimited talk and text as well as 25GB of cloud storage (per line). These plans are also good for up to 10 devices. Lastly, as we saw from Verizon last week, they are now offering an additional 1GB of shareable data for those who activate a tablet and add it to a MORE Everything plan of 1GB or higher.
