You can never have too many video streaming services right? Right? Well, at least people now have a lot of options on what to watch, where to watch it, and when to watch it. The newest addition to this market is US carrier Verizon, and they are targeting people who watch shows on their smartphones. Go90 is a new streaming app for TV content featuring popular shows ranging from comedy shows, sports, documentaries, reality shows, etc.

The name comes from the act of rotating your phone to 90 degrees or landscape format when you watch videos on it. And Verizon knows its target market very well, as a lot of 18-34 year olds are now accessing their TV shows from their smartphones. The service will not be limited to Verizon customers only. Even non-subscribers will be able to view the shows from such channels as Comedy Central, Discovery, ESPN, Food Network, NFL Network, etc. There will be original shows, prime-time content, and even live events.

And since millennials are not just part of a video streaming culture but a social sharing culture as well, Go90 will have a sharing aspect to it (as all apps have nowadays). You can share on your social media or even to your contacts what you’re watching now or what you’d like to recommend to them.

The only catch here, since it is a free service, is that it is ad-supported of course. So that means you’d have to sit through ads in between your shows. But it may be a small price to pay just so you can watch your shows for free. You can sign up already on the Go90 site and they will inform you when they will go live already.
