There are probably hundreds to thousands of models of tablets from different manufacturers all over the world but admit it or not, you trust only a few names. In the Android world, Samsung offers some of the most reliable tablets because of their build, design, and features. Samsung Galaxy Tabs are no doubt the more popular today and Verizon is bringing us the latest Tab E.
We first sighted this one last June in a catalogue in Taiwan. It was still unannounced that time so we were wondering what could it be. We haven’t seen it until today when the Big Red rolls out the Samsung Galaxy Tab E with Verizon 4G LTE.
Don’t think that this is just like any other Android tablet. This one is ideal for the family or for those who like to share their devices especially at home. The Galaxy Tab E features a Multi-User Mode that lets each user to personalize his profile. This way, he can keep all his apps, games, and screens private. You know how it is with sharing a tablet, you can’t really have privacy or have the final say on what appears on the screen because there are still other users.
With Multi-user mode, each user is provided a username and password. Once logged in, only his games can pop up. Other stuff can also show up depending on his preferences. Samsung provides a personalized tablet experience on this Android tablet. For parents, you can be assured that kids have limited access and control with the Kids Mode app from Galaxy Essentials.
Features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab E include a 9.6-inch WXGA display, 1280 x 800 resolution, 16GB built-in storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and a 7300mAh battery. Contrary to the Taiwanese version, this one runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and boasts of 4G/LTE connectivity.
Verizon Wireless lists the tablet for $330 offline and online. You can also get this under a 24-month contract for only $13.74.
