As we all know, this week is DROID week, and if you did not get a chance to check out the Droid site from Motorola last friday, before it was pulled. Well, do not fret, the good fellas over at SlashGear got a hands on with the famous device from Motorola.
There isn’t a full review of the Verizon DROID by Motorola just yet, since it’s too early for that. So instead, the SlashGear crew was in a session with Verizon, Motorola and Google to discuss the first Android 2.0 smartphone of the year. Which has a nice 3.7-inch 854 x 480 capacitive touchscreen, that dominates at first glance.
Talking about the display, SlashGear expects the AMOLED display on the Samsung Moment to be the best of the Android phones. But the DROID mounts such a vivid and bright display, with “eye-popping colors”, that it will give the Moment a run for its money. A full review will be here soon, where we will know how the DROID by Motorola hold its own. But it is already looking as a great device. If you want to see more pictures of this hands on, head over to SlashGear to check them out.
