If you’re in the market for high-end, high-fidelity audio accessories, then V-Moda products will probably be in your radar, as they have made a name for themselves in this category. They have announced another addition to their family with the introduction of the Crossfade Wireless Over-ear headphones, giving users the option of using either wired or wireless for their hybrid listening pleasure. The makers say that they went through years of extensive research and testing to give you their signature sound as well as basically the same quality for both analog and wireless playback.

A few years back, the Crossfade M-100 was released and crowdsourced by “hundreds of headphone audiophiles” and the new Crossfade Wireless’ patent-pending dual-diaphragm 50mm driver is an even better and “refined” version of the former. With the hand-tuning, air flow mechanics, and acoustic tuning materials going on, they are assuring users that the sound quality of this new device is consistent to V-Moda’s reputation and “unrivaled” in its class.

It does not use a powered EQ so the latency of the headphones doesn’t change whether it’s wired or wireless. When you pair the headphones with your Bluetooth-enabled device, you can walk away up to 33 feet and still be able to pair it. And you can also pair it with up to two devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. When you need to switch to wired, either because of battery issues (although it says the battery can last for 12 hours with continuous playback) or you just want to, the moment you plug in the jack, it switches to zero latency, which is really important for gamers, musicians, DJs, etc.

The V-Moda Crossfade Wireless will be available in four colors: White Silver, Phantom Chrome, Rogue, and Gunmetal Black. The first two are already available, with the latter two coming soon. You can buy it for $299. If you buy it from the V-Moda site at $300, you will also get custom 3D printed fiber or laser aluminum shields.
