People have been having fun using stickers in your photos in your various messaging app as evidenced by all the silly dog faces we’ve been seeing on our social network timeline. And Twitter is soon joining the fun as they have announced that they will be introducing #Stickers into their users lives. Not only that, but this new creative way of making your photos more interesting will also be searchable so you’ll be able to see what other people are posting using that same sticker.

At launch, there will be a hundred or so stickers available for your enjoyment, including the standard emojis, as well as various accessories and props. They will also be adding rotating stickers, depending on the current season or what is currently in the zeitgeist. Adding them is pretty easy. Take a picture or add a photo in the usual way you do with Twitter. Then choose the sticker and put it anywhere in your picture. You can even resize and rotate them as well. Then just go ahead and post.

You will also be able to search other similar posts that used the same sticker, kind of like a virtual hashtag. Just tap on the sticker in your photo or a photo you’re looking at and you will see how other people are using that particular sticker. This is a new way to discover other users and also to inspire your Twitter #Sticker game.

This new feature will be rolling out to Android users over the next few weeks. Adding stickers is for mobile only (maybe just for now) but you can view and search for them on the desktop and web version as well.
