Warhammer 40k is a legit brand name in tabletop and digital gaming – hardcore gamers would be remiss if they didn’t know about this line of strategy and action games. But what do you get when you mix Warhammer with another legit mobile gaming phenomenon like Clash of Clans (or even Boom Beach)? Well, what you get is a game called “The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault”.
The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault is a game with all the right Warhammer thematics. The game invites players into one of the more famous Warhammer storylines in “The Horus Heresy” – where players get to choose a side in a civil war within the Emperor’s Space Marine Legions in the 30th Millennium. The battle is between the Emperor himself and one of his beloved generals (also his son).
In the mobile game, you get to play it “Clash of Clans” style – the famous base-building strategy game mechanic that now lets you pick which side you want to play for, the Emperor or the opposing Loyalists. The game mechanics should be familiar: build a base, fortify it, defend it from attacking forces, and then you yourself get to go on missions to destroy enemy bases.
Of course, there is a massively online multiplayer aspect to this – an aspect that has played so well for Clash of Clans. The game is a free download via the Google Play Store as of now (check the source link below). Is this something you want to try?

And here I was hoping that it was paid 🙁
