A few months ago, we told you about this new live wallpaper app called TapDeck that gave you more than just pretty pictures on your smartphone. Even though it was still in beta then, a lot of people found the app informative and enjoyable. Now, the good news is that it’s finally going out of beta, and along with it, the developers are bringing more features to the app, including a Material Design look, and a better way of sharing the wallpapers you enjoy the most to other people.

Just in case you’ve forgotten, TapDeck is a wallpaper app that tries to learn what you like, and then gives you not just images, but even audio, text, and videos that will enhance your smartphone, and give you something new to learn every day. It is integrated with Wikipedia, Reddit, among others, so you know the information you get is legit (well, mostly). There are thousands of wallpapers in its database, and according to their stats, there were 4 million wallpaper changes in 162 countries, just during their beta phase.

But now that they’re fully live, they’ve added even more features to the app, aside from updating the look to the Material Design visual guidelines that Google has suggested. You can now connect your TapDeck account to Google+, Facebook, and Twitter and try to build a following from your social networks. If you’ve found an interesting wallpaper that you think your followers would like, you can re-tap them and it will appear on your feed so your followers can see. And if you want to share it to a particular person, you can do so, and they will see it on their wallpaper screen.

Pretty soon, they will also be adding Facebook, Twitter, Recipes, and even Spotify, as sources for the wallpaper, so the library will continue expanding. If you don’t have it yet, you can download TapDeck from the Google Play Store for free.
