When Table Tennis Touch was launched earlier this year, a lot of you probably thought to yourselves, “Wouldn’t this be cooler if you could play against other ‘real’ people from anywhere in the world?” Well, that of course is the natural evolution of the game and now version 2.0 for Android devices features the option to play multiplayer games both local and online. The update also brings other new things like a new mini-game, a new venue, and more bat skins that you can win or buy.

But first of course is the most important addition to the game. Now you can practice your digital table tennis skills against other players who are also eager to show you what they got. You can choose to play against your friends who are physically with you through wifi connection. You can also choose to play against strangers from all over the world through the online multiplayer mode. And if you play in multiplayer mode a lot of times, you’ll earn points for the new metric called Prestige. There is a separate leaderboard for that and the more you play, the more points you get of course.

The developers say they are planning to release four mini-games within the game, and this update brings the first one called Glass Table, which is basically a two player version of the Half Table game. You also get a new venue to play in which features the table from the 2012 London Olympics. There are also 27 new bats that you can either win or purchase in-app.

Table Tennis Touch version 2.0 also has the usual improvements on graphics and UI, as well as optimization and bug fixes. You can update your app already, or if you haven’t downloaded it yet, you can get it from the Google Play Store for $1.99.

  1. Nice! Cool! What would be even better and exciting is competitive indoor Badminton and the ability to compete with others worldwide in both sports.
