For those who will be vacationing outside the country this summer, the most popular destination for Americans seems to still be Europe. And one of the concerns of travelers always is that their roaming charges would be staggering once they receive their bill for that month. If you’re a T-Mobile subscriber and you’re heading there for your vacation, then you need not worry as your un-carrier is offering high-speed data at no additional cost. Plus, you get an hour of free WiFi for domestic flights too.
More than 2.5 million Americans are expected to visit Europe this year, and if any of those vacationeers are subscribed to T-Mobile and its Simple Choice plans, then they’ll be able to get unlimited high-speed data across the continent. You don’t need to pay anything extra and you don’t need to resister or sign-up for anything. It will just automatically be available on your phone once you step onto the continent. Plus, you get free texts of course (as with anywhere in the globe) and you also get $0.20 per minute calls. This starts by July 1 and will last until August 31.
Meanwhile, if you’re just traveling domestically this weekend and your plane has an in-flight Gogo WiFi service, you’ll get one hour free connection. This is available not just for T-Mobile customers but also the “long-abused” (John Legere’s words of course) AT&T and Verizon customers. This is only available from June 24-26 at over 33,000 domestic flights in the US.
Lastly, if you’re traveling to Belize, the Central American country will also now be part of Simple Global by July 1. This means you can visit their country and its pristine beaches and enjoy unlimited data and texting plus low, flat rate calling (20 cents per minute as well), just like with any of the South and Central American countries that are part of the program. All of these things sound too good to be true, but then T-Mobile often likes to shock and surprise its subscribers.
