As we had been expecting, T-Mobile has opened up pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The handset is expected to begin shipping on October 1st and as we have come to expect with T-Mobile, the Note 3 comes with an initial downpayment followed by another 24 monthly payments. T-Mobile will also be offering the Galaxy Gear, but so far there is no sign of available pre-orders for the smartwatch.
We are fairly certain those who have been waiting are already familiar with the price, but just to clarify, the Note 3 sits with a downpayment of $199.99. On top of that, those making the purchase will need to make 24 monthly payments of $21. This of course can then be paired with the Simple Choice plans which begin at $50 per month for individual users.
That plan includes unlimited talk, text and web with 500MB of high-speed data. The Galaxy Note 3 is an LTE-capable handset which means some will likely want more than 500MB of high-speed data. Those going that route can bump things to 2.5GB or to unlimited for $60 or $70 per month respectively.
Otherwise, aside from LTE, the Galaxy Note 3 sports a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display along with a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 3200 mAh battery and 13 megapixel rear-facing camera. Of course, the S Pen is also included.
With that, while the Galaxy Note 3 has only recently been announced, we did manage to spend some hands-on time with the handset during IFA in Berlin.
Was tempted by the GN3… But I think I’ll just buy 2 Nexus 5’s for the same price… There is a good chance the N5’s back camera should be as good or better then GN3’s…
Without question nothing coming out in 2013 even matters. The Galaxy Note 3 is head and shoulders above the rest so easily it’s comical. I will be purchasing the Galaxy Note 3 on October 2nd at 8am. Plain and simple nothing beats Samsung or the Galaxy Note products period.
