So it’s true. Starbucks has partnered with Niantic Labs to further promote Pokemon GO. The augmented reality game has been losing some players but the avid fans will love the fact that their favorite Starbucks branch is now officially a Pokemon Gym or PokeStop. You’ve probably seen a store as one but the two companies have joined forces officially to make drinking that Frap and training a Pokemon more fun and interesting.
About 7,800 Starbucks branches across the United States will be known as PokeStops where you can avail of the Pokemon GO Frappuccino. The special beverage is actually just a Vanilla Bean Frap with raspberry syrup and freeze-dried whole blackberries plus whipped cream. Pokemon Trainers heading to Starbucks can have it as a treat for being such great players.
There’s no special game to play while inside Starbucks. Just locate a store within Pokemon GO so you’ll see the Pokemon GO Frappuccino. Offer is for a limited time only while supplies last. We have no idea until when Starbucks will be offering the special drink but we hope to order a venti size soon.
It’s not clear though if you really need to show your phone and prove that you’re playing the game so you can order the drink. I know a lot of people who don’t play Pokemon GO but would love to try the new flavor so we’ll see.

I wonder how much Starbucks paid Niantic for this.
