Android M, that fluffy Android Marshmallow is set to fully launch in the coming weeks but as expected and most of you already know, there are a number of changes we may encounter. We’re still taking note of all those new features and changes but unlike Android Lollipop, this new mobile platform will do away with the dark system theme. You see, Material Design guidelines meant that Android should use a ligher theme more. It makes sense because a light theme is easier on the eyes. You can enable this by simply by making some changes on the Settings.
Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with the change. In fact, some developers are demanding for Google to bring back the Dark Theme in Android 6.0 Marshmallow. They’re even requesting that the black color be applied on the app drawer, title bar, or notification center. There shouldn’t be any problem though because within the Developer version, you can choose the dark theme without any problem. We’re not really sure why the Android team decide to remove that easy option.
Some Android developer already responded to a request and said firmly, “this will not be included in the M release” but “may be considered for future releases”. Yes, it may be trivial and purely aesthetic but come on Google, don’t enforce the light theme that some people don’t want. We’re just curious as to why Google pulled out that option. Hmm…

if people want to be told what is ugly or not they can buy iOS and their rainbow bright color scheme. Luck I have an xperia, I’ll just theme that idiotic bright blue right out. The dark theme was perfect because it kept the menu bars out of the way when designing your own theme.
