There have been rumors here and there that Sony will be introducing a whole new line of smartphones made up of various variants of the upcoming flagship, the Xperia Z6. We’ve heard of five various devices, all with different display sizes. But apparently, there might be an addition to that number, as another rumor floating around is that there will also be a 5-inch Xperia Z6 Lite that will make its entry by next year.
A Chinese website called Mobile-dad is claiming that they have a good source saying that the Sony Xperia Z6 Lite will be part of this whole new line. There is little information revealed about the supposed device, except that it has a 5-inch display, will run on a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor (which is formerly known as Snapdragon 618), and it has a metal-made rear cover.
The other rumored members of the Xperia Z6 family are (in order of size): a 4-inch Xperia Z6 Mini, a 4.6-inch Xperia Z6 Compact, a 5.2-inch Xperia Z6, a 5.8-inch Xperia Z6 Plus, and a 6.4-inch Xperia Z6 Ultra. the Xperia Z6 lite will most likely be introduced with the rest of the “family”, probably by May 2016.
The rumored addition to the line will supposedly cost around $385. There is no way for this information to be verified for now or to determine if that price is correct, since we only have the basic information about the Xperia Z6 Lite, if it will even exist. Let’s wait and see if we hear anything from Sony.

After my recent experience with the flimsily built and crippled Xperia T2, which kept losing communication with their own company’s Smartwatch 3, I swore my hands off any more Sony phones.
