Two of the most popular flagship smartphones available in the market today is the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Nexus 6P from Huawei. The pair is known for their excellent cameras and imaging technologies with both models gaining the top ranks at DxOMark mobile image and video benchmarks. The Xperia Z5 took over the top position recently while the Google Nexus 6P entered DxOMark’s mobile imaging rankings at no. 3 earlier this month.
Still in second place is the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which was previously on top. A certain A6_ on Weibo shared images taken using the Xperia Z5 and the Nexus 6P. It’s interesting to know how the latest Android smartphone cameras really fare against the competition.
Both phones take gorgeous shots but Nexus 6P images seem to be clearer and colors are more vivid. I guess it will also depend on who is looking at the photos. Try to compare the photos from the two galleries below:
GOOGLE NEXUS 6P (Huawei)
The blacks’ in the Nexus 6P images seem more vivid. Look closely at the Sony Xperia Z5 photos as some seem to appear grainy compared to the Nexus 6P’s images.
SONY XPERIA Z5
Which smartphone captured the better images this time? What do you think of the photos?

That makes me super excited because it seems to me that a Nexus just beat an Xperia’s camera

Weibo = Chinese Facebook
Huawei = Chinese Manufacturer
Sony = Japanese Manufacturer
China-Japan: that interesting, haha
I won’t be that gullible to believe this,
Rather surprised to see all the purple haze in the Xperia night shots (especially obvious on the last 2 night shots).
