Last week T-Mobile announced they’ll be the exclusive US carrier of Sony’s impressive waterproof Xperia Z smartphone, and starting today it’s finally available for pre-order. The device went up for sale for T-Mobile from select Sony stores only last week, but today T-Mobile has opened up pre-orders with overnight shipping starting tomorrow.
So basically yes, you can walk into a T-Mobile store and get it tomorrow, but today they’re allowing users who are extra excited to pre-order the device… a day early. There is a bonus however. Those who pre-order get a $70 Sony Bluetooth speaker absolutely free, while they last, as well as free overnight shipping. So that’s a plus.
As expected with T-Mobile’s recent payments plans you’ll be required to throw down $99 on the day of purchase, and then continue with monthly payments until you pay off the handset. However, with T-Mobile’s new JUMP upgrade plan you can get a new device in as soon as 6 months should you choose. That means another Sony device, or the upcoming Galaxy Note III in September.
Of course you can also buy it outright for just under $600 cash, which will get you a pretty nice 5-inch 1080p full HD waterproof smartphone. One that packs a 1.5 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM, sports a 13 megapixel camera, and runs Android Jelly Bean. Check out our T-Mobile Xperia Z Review should you have any questions before making the move.
The question is, do you get it in Purple or Black? That’s the question!
