Sony launched the Xperia C5 Ultra last year together with the Xperia M5. The mid-range smartphones rolled out with only Android 5.0 Lollipop but more than a year later, it’s finally getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This is something expected since Android 7.0 Nougat has started to roll out in other mobile devices.

We’re not sure if the Xperia C5 Ultra will receive the chunky Android Nougat dessert someday but let’s focus on the new update for now. This actually comes after the Xperia C5 Ultra Dual received the same Android 6.0 update a few days ago. It was noted that rollout was limited in some regions and for only one variant but now all four variants are getting the much anticipated software update.

These Sony Xperia C5 Ultra variants are officially getting the Android Marshmallow goodness:

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra (E5553) – Australia Generic
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra (E5506) – Latin America Generic
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual SIM (E5533) – Italy Generic
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual SIM (E5563) – India Generic

These devices will receive build number 29.2.A.0.122 and build number 29.2.B.0.122 for the dual variants.
