People may be clamoring for the Nougat and OEMs may be working harder to serve the latest Android dessert but it doesn’t mean other companies should forget about the Marshmallow. In fact, there are brands who haven’t rolled out Android 6.0 to their mobile devices. Sony is one of those aggressive in releasing updates for its smartphones even those older models which we think are no longer eligible for Marshmallow.
Android Marshmallow hasn’t fully captured a big chunk of the mobile market as Lollipop still reigns supreme. However, it still continues to being easily ready and available for more devices. The next phones to get the SOFTware are the Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual. The following firmware builds are ready–27.3.A.0.122 and 27.3.B.0.122–specifically for the E5303 and E5306 variants of the Xperia C4 and E5333 and E5343 of the Xperia C4 Dual.
The Xperia C4 Android Marshmallow may soon be followed by the Xperia C5 Ultra but we’ll have to wait for one as there’s no word on availability yet. As with any Marshmallow updates, this one will bring Google Now on Tap, better app permissions, app standby, and Doze feature to help you save on battery.
Sony unveiled the Xperia C4 and C4 dual last year for the selfie generation and received Android 5.1 Lollipop earlier this 2015. It was only made available back in June 2015.
