snapcash snapchat square payment

Snapchat is known for its instant messaging app magic. We can say it’s a pioneer in this field, paving the way for a lot of copycats but it remains to be one of the most widely used apps for mobile communication.

The company has recently decided to venture into a new business and partnered with another party to introduce a new mobile payment system. Officially called as Snapcash, this is similar to Square Cash but it was developed exclusively for Snapchat users. The Snapchat team built a prototype and shared it with the Square developers. The latter loved the idea and worked on the new payment service.

The Square Cash is an easier way to send money to Snapchat friends. Simply swipe into chat, type the dollar sign and the amount, then press the green button. Money will be sent automatically to your contact’s bank account and will be deducted from your debit card that has been stored securely by Square.

Sending payment through Snapcash is fun and easy. Security is important so Square and Snapchat want to ensure a secure experience for every use. The partners are continually improving security measures to bring the best experience for everyone.

Snapcash is available to all Snapchatters in the US for now. All you need is a Snapchat account, a debit card, and of course, that you’re at least 18 years old.
