No matter how much technology has evolved, card games are still pretty much an in thing for people who are bored or those who just want to play a game where you don’t need to think and fight so much. But of course, they would also have to evolve in a way, and that includes becoming digital and even having a back story of sorts. King has made some successful mobile games and their latest takes on the world of card-sharking, or rather, card-catting. Shuffle Cats is a live multiplayer card game that was recently released and is now receiving a needed first update.

First thing you need to know here is that you need to have played Rummy at one point in you life or you want to learn how. Second is that yes, there are cats involved and they actually run the club on a rooftop and it is set in the 1920s, but you will get the chance to play against not just felines, but actual people from around the world who are also bored or easily entertained by cats. You get to play in matches and if you’re the first to score 10 points, you win that particularly match and earn Gems.

If you win enough matches, you’ll be able to get into one of the eight card clubs that you should get into. And of course, things get serious here. Well, as serious as any feline-led card club in the 1920s can get. You’ll also be able to unlock challenges so you can earn more points and also use Lucky Charms to boost your play and beat your opponent. You get to interact with your opponent, wherever they may be since you have chats and live card movement.

The first update to the game has arrived and not a moment too soon. There were a lot bugs that needed to be fixed in its initial release and apparently, they’ve done it already. You can download Shuffle Cats from the Google Play Store for free, with in-app purchases.
