If you spend a lot of your time on your daily commute, then you probably need a set of wireless headphones that can last you for hours and that has noise cancellation to drown out the sound of traffic or noisy fellow commuters. Well, Sennheiser is introducing a new product called PCX 550 that will be able to give you both a longer battery life and the option to turn on its noise cancellation technology. Plus, it comes with a “tunable listening experience” through a dedicated app.

While you probably won’t have to spend that long on your daily commute, the PCX 550 can actually last for 30 hours on a single charge, or so that’s what Sennheiser claims. You can also enable the NoiseGard tech that comes with the headphones, if you want to have noise cancellation while listening to your music or watching a video. But of course, the battery life will be affected. The headphones also have three microphones so you can make high-quality voice calls.

You will also be able to adjust the audio quality of the music you’re listening to through the CapTune app so that you will be able to control how you listen to it. But the headphones itself comes with a touch control panel and voice command system if you want to manually adjust the settings as well. And when you remove the headphones, it will automatically pause the call or stop the music even.

You can connect it to your smartphone or any other audio source though Bluetooth and pair it using NFC support. It has a collapsible design so you can just fold it away when you’re not using it. You can buy the Sennheiser PCX 550 wireless headphones for $399.

  1. Do they have annoying led flashing lights? My Bluetooth headphones flash bright blue, it’s horrible using then in the dark.
