Samsung is planning to fill up the midrange market with more options for consumers, with the launch of what seems to inevitably be the Samsung C Series – headlined by what should be called the Samsung Galaxy C5 and the Samsung Galaxy C7. These – according to some benchmark spec leaks – will be midrange phones, but aesthetically superior than others as they will sport metal designs.
The Galaxy A series has moved on to using glass and metal, so the Samsung C Series will provide a new aesthetic niche in the midrange market – and more and more people are going for metal-clad phones. The headliner is the Galaxy C5 or what will be coded as SM-C5000. The Galaxy C5 is set to launch with 4GB RAM and the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617.
The operating system is Android 6.0.1. As you can see from these specs above, it’s not a bad combination – the 4GB RAM will make up for what the SD617 lacks in performance. The Galaxy C7 will most likely be a larger design, probably near phablet-sized, but should follow the same aesthetic cues as with the Galaxy C5.
What is rumored as well, is that the Samsung Galaxy C series will be an exclusive series for the Chines market. While we understand the rationale behind that, we are of course hoping to see the Galaxy C Series outside of China as well. More info as they come.

I just don’t see the point to release it with a Snapdragon 617… why not use the 625… such a bad move.
