We saw this Samsung G9198 last month but there was no official launch made yet until last week when the new flip phone was introduced. This new phone was unveiled a few days after the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ phablets were announced. The new clamshell smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
The Samsung SM-G9198 features a dual 3.9-inch Super AMOLED display, 768 x 1280 WXGA resolution, Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 6 MP front-facing camera, 16 MP main camera, microSD card slot, 2,020 mAh battery, and a 16GB built-in storage. The phone can last up to 189 hours on standby and the phone measures only 120.3 x 61.2 x 16.3mm and weights 204 grams.
Samsung SM-G9198 flip phone is one stylish and classy phone. The Snapdragon chipset by Qualcomm makes it a powerful clamshell Android mobile device. We’re not sure if this will be available in other regions but if you’re in Asia, expect to get your hands on one.
The flip phone looks classy and stylish in blue–giving a more elegant look. It already supports 4G LTE so you can connect to the Internet. In China, the phone is already supported by China Unicom and China Mobile. No word on pricing and availability though but we’ll let you know soon.
