The lines in the Android vs iOS battle (with some Windows fans demanding to be let in as well) have always been clearly drawn. It is rare to find people who can say, “Yeah, I like both and can easily work with either”. It’s either you’re an Apple fanboy or an Apple hater who thinks Android is the best thing since sliced bread. But of course the other side would always want to draw some over to their side. Samsung is now offering a 1-month almost free test drive for their new products for iPhone users for just $1.

Samsung has released a few new Galaxy devices over the past few months, with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge previously, then the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge Plus recently. Now they’re offering a one-month trial for iPhone users who are thinking of finding out what the Android fuss is all about. They’re also probably doing this now before Apple releases its expected new iPhone later this year. There may be some iPhone users out there who either are getting tired of their devices and may be trying to find out the “equivalent” of their smartphones in the Android world.

All they have to do is go to the site SamsungPromotions.com through their iPhone, choose from among the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge or the Galaxy S6 edge Plus and pay $1. They will not have any obligations to their carriers during this 30-day trial period. In the end, if they realize they’d still stick to iOS, they can just return the device. But if they kind of enjoyed being on the other side, then they can upgrade already.

However, in the course of writing this piece, the site reflects that they are temporarily out of test drive phones, but that users should check back later if there will be some that will be available. We were a bit skeptical about iOS users who would want to try out Android, but it seems like that is apparently a thing.

  1. Went would any iPhone users want to use a wannabe iPhone, line the s6 or note 5? Even android power users don’t want them.

If you want what Samsung is copying, just get an iPhone.
