The Galaxy Note III hasn’t been a stranger to leaks, rumors and speculation and the way things are looking — that is only going to increase as we get closer to the announcement date. Samsung is expected to announce the Note III alongside the Galaxy Gear smartwatch at an event on September 4. Anyway, earlier in the week we saw some images of the Note III glass leak in black and today brings a similar set of images, just in a different color.
This latest round of images have arrived by way of FanaticFone who offer the pics without much else in terms of detail. They are showing the Note III in white and with the exception of the color they seem to match what we have already seen. Basically, the openings and cutouts for the sensors all seem to match nicely from earlier leaks.
Not to mention, the two capacitive buttons are still sitting on the bottom just where we would expect them to be. Those earlier images had some measurements in terms of the display size and bezel size. Those were shown to be 5.68-inches and 2.2mm respectively. This time around we didn’t get any measurements but there was one shot of the glass sitting next to a coin.
Anyway, that September 4 event will be just ahead of the official kick off of IFA. That show takes place in Berlin and as a reminder — we will be live on-site to bring the latest news. Otherwise, while nothing is official until we hear the details from Samsung, here is some of what is expected. The display (as mentioned) should be 5.68-inches, but perhaps more important for some is that it is expected to be 1080p in resolution.
The handset is also expected to have a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, but according to recent rumors it is looking like it will not arrive with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Talk has also come in regards to video recording. This bit is still firmly in the rumor category, but it was said that the Note III will be able to capture 4K video. All that being said, these specs should all be official come September 4.
