The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) and the Galaxy A8 (2018) phones are getting a share of the Pie. Android 9 update is coming to these two Galaxy A devices on March 15. The information was from Guncelmiyiz, a Turkish website affiliated with Samsung. This good news follows the same update that was released for the Galaxy S9, S9+ and Galaxy Note 9. This one will follow the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, and the Galaxy Note 8’s Android Pie upgrade arriving next month.

Even the newest Galaxy A phones, the Galaxy A7 (2018) will get the same Android 9 Pie serving. Later on, the Galaxy A9 will also receive it.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018)’s upgrade has been listed on the Wi-Fi Alliance database with Android 9 Pie installed already. This is the same one that hit Geekbench last month. All these mentions only point to the arrival of the Android Pie.

The Galaxy A7 (2018) with model number SM-A750F is being tested with Android 9 Pie. Even the Galaxy A7 (2017) model SM-A720F is set to get a serving of the Pie.

We have no information on when the exact release will be but the update is scheduled in March. As with most Android 9 Pie updates, the A7 and A9 will also receive One UI and several improvements on Notifications, Samsung Keyboard, Settings, Device Care, Bixby, Always On Display, Samsung Health, Contacts, and Samsung DeX.
