If you don’t want to be stuck to your mobile device carrier but of course still need to make calls, send messages and access data, then one of your options would be to go with smaller, off-contract carriers. Republic Wireless is one of the more popular ones in this segment but their limitation was the phones that they were offering. Previously, you only had the Moto X, Moto E, and Moto G on the network. But now they have announced the addition of 7 new devices that you can avail when you sign up with the network.

The new smartphones that they have added aren’t entry-level devices but some of the top of the line Android phones available in the market. Their new offerings are the following: Moto X Pure Edition, Google Nexus 6P (Huawei), Google Nexus 5X (LG), Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Republic Wireless users (and future customers) will be able to avail of these devices starting July. They also announced that they will have access to a “new nationwide GSM carrier with the fastest nationwide 4G LTE network.” The carrier has some of the most affordable plans out there, and you don’t need to get stuck in a contract with them. The lowest plan is at $10/month (unli talk and text, buy data as needed) and the highest is at $55/mo (unli talk and text, 3GB data).

They also revealed on their website the prices for these devices, indicating that financing will also be available by the time they are available in July.

– Moto X Pure Edition ($399)
– Google Nexus 6P by Huawei ($499)
– Google Nexus 5X by LG ($349)
– Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) ($179)
– Samsung Galaxy S6 ($599)
– Samsung Galaxy S7 ($699)
– Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge ($799)
