Just when you think that the best of lists from 2018 is already over, Reddit’s AndroidGaming subreddit releases the results of their own voting over which mobile games were the best last year. Surprisingly, or not surprisingly if you think about it, many of the games on the list didn’t appear in any of the main lists or even in most of the tech news streams. Most of the games were also massive, sprawling, and highly involving, which should give game developers some thought when creating their new games.
The most popular game on the list is Vampire’s Fall: Origins which has over 100k downloads, 4.7 out of 5 stars, and just under 26k total reviews. So being the “best game” on this list is not a fluke. It’s a 2D open-world RPG that seems to be a mix between Diablo II, Final Fantasy, and Mortal Kombat.
The second game on the list is probably the most popular among the games on the list, PUBG Mobile. It’s followed by Rumble Arena Super Smash Legends which is pretty similar to the hugely popular Super Smash Bros. Fourth on the list is the massive city building game Pocket City.
The rest of the top ten list is as follows (from 5-10): Bloons TD 6, Old School RuneScape, Alto’s Odyssey, Dungeon Maker, Brawl Stars and Troll Patrol tied in 9th, and Evoland 2. These games can be downloaded from the Google Play Store of course.
