While most people who listen to music on their mobile devices probably either listen to the files saved on their gadget or use music streaming apps, for some people, the appeal of live broadcast radio programs never grow old. If you’re one of those people, then you better get yourself on Rdio as they are now offering over 500 live broadcast radio shows coupled with their on demand music streaming. Who says you can’t do both?

Definitely not the folks over at Rdio. So if you subscribe to the service (or use the free version, but on a smaller scale of course), you get access to both the 500 live shows as well as the $35 million songs both broadcast and on demand. And it’s not just purely music. You even get sports content from local stations, and eventually, even cover such events like March Madness, Masters Golf Tournament, the Kentucky Derby, etc.

As for the music part, if you hear a song from a live station that you like, you can right then and there share that song, mark it as a favorite, and even start a custom radio station, just like you would in the streaming music section. There are also algorithmic stations based on an album, artist, or song. You can also browse through “expertly-curated” stations and even have your own personalized one through YouFM.

If you’re a paying subscriber, either with the $3.99 (Rdio Select) or $9.99 (Rdio Unlimited) plan, or even just on your free trial, you can also download the song so you can listen to it offline, add it to a playlist of your own, or listen to related artists as often as you want. Rdio Select gives you unlimited skips and 25 on-song demands/downloads per day, while Rdio Unlimited gives you, well, unlimited everything (on the app at least).
