Finally, Pokémon GO is now a Go in Japan. Nintendo and Niantic partnered with McDonald’s in the country and now it’s really available. For some reason, there was a bit of delay in launching in its home country. Perhaps they knew that the Japanese want things to be perfect and because servers are crashing earlier, the developers need to do some more fixes before commercial release.

It’s quite ironic that the popular augmented reality game didn’t become available in Japan where the Pokémon is originally from. There’s no point in blaming now as the game is finally and officially ready to make an expert pocket monster hunter out of you. The developers knew that once the game is out, a lot of people will play the AR game.

The game has been phenomenal ever since it was officially launched less than a couple of weeks ago. Nintendo shares quickly went up. In the US, it is now considered as the biggest mobile game ever earning $14 million in the first week and getting 21 million players. Numbers definitely have increased since then but we have yet to hear an official report.

The game will arrive in 200 more markets after being released earlier in the US and Australia. The AR game can now be enjoyed in Japan but we’re crossing our fingers that the server will not be stressed. We’re hoping that with the short delay, the team behind the game, was able to fix whatever needs fixing.
