The Samsung Galaxy S7 is coming. Maybe not yet very soon but hopefully earlier than usual as we’ve been hearing the past few months. Over the weekend, a set of photos of what’s believed to be the next Galaxy S7 made the rounds among the Chinese social networks. The images show not exactly the smartphone but a front panel display of an unknown Samsung phone. We’re not sure about this photo so let’s just take this with a grain of salt.
It also can be a fan render. However, based of a diagram leaked last week of the three Samsung Galaxy variants, there will be an oval-shaped home button. The front-facing camera and sensor are placed on the right compared to the position of the small circles on the diagram.
NowhereElse managed to compare images and diagrams that have been revealed recently with the latest leaked photo. The panel is expected to cover the whole front of the phone so we may see an edge-to-edge screen. If you’re familiar with Galaxy phones, you’ll say that this is very “Galaxy” but with the obvious changes–thinner button and new position of the holes.
So far, we’ve learned that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come in three variants (S7, S7 Edge, and S7 Edge+), five million units will be products initially, will have a pressure sensitive display, and a variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor. Too many information are being passed around but nothing has been confirmed yet so let’s just wait and see.
