Let’s start the week with another Samsung rumor: an unnamed protective case might arrive with a stylus or built-in S Pen placed at the back. It’s something like a Galaxy Note would have but this one is speculated as just an accessory adding the stylus feature to any Galaxy phone. Well, still a rumor but the patent that surfaced looks like something with a stylus underneath.
This makes sense because there are renders that previously showed a thicker Note 5-like Galaxy S7. We’re guessing the extra thickness has something to do with the stylus. Actually, the patent filing is only for a protective cover and not really a new mobile device or tablet but that protruding area at the back is obviously for some sort of a stylus.
This protective case with stylus on a non-Galaxy Note phone is something new. It’s not exactly foreign but we’re wondering that if true, what will happen now to the current Galaxy Note line? This particular patent is only for a case with built-in S Pen. The stylus function available on some mobile devices must be present though if you want this to work. It’s easy to use a new case as long at it fits but we’re curious as to how Samsung will make a device Stylus-capable.
Details are scarce so let’s just let our imaginations run wild and wait for the official announcement from Samsung in the coming weeks. We’re crossing our fingers…
