The OnePlus X is finally getting the fluffy Marshmallow OS. The last release of OxygenOS 2.2.2 didn’t come with the SOFTware but now it’s here for the excited fans. The mid-range line may have been discontinued already but the Chinese OEM is still expected to update the model. The OxygenOS for the OnePlus X has specifically received the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow version with several new features and updates–finally!
With this rollout, the OnePlus X gets new icon packs, new wallpaper picker, Google search bar UI customization, changes on Settings, and some improvements on the Shelf UX. There’s also the new app permissions plus new Alert Slider settings with more options for customization on the OnePlus X.
OnePlus also brings new apps to the device like the OnePlus Music Player, OnePlus Gallery, and the latest security patches for Android (August 1). This version is only the community build but it should be more than ready for most mobile users. Don’t be surprised if you still see minor issues like those in language localization, compatibility, and mobile network stability in some regions.
Download the update from HERE. As we would always say, DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK. Feel free to share your experience and report any other issues encountered to OnePlus.
