In April, Chinese phone manufacturer OPPO put out the Find 7a, the more affordable version of the outfit’s more premium Find 7 smartphone. After teasing us with the Find 7a, OPPO has now made the Find 7 available for pre-order in certain areas, including the US. As always, there will be freebies for the first few who avail of the pre-order.
If you are in the United States and you have been waiting for OPPO’s premium-looking Find 7 to finally be released, the wait is over – today is that day. The Find 7, a big step up from the Find 7a in terms of specs, is now available at the OPPO Style portal for pre-orders and it costs USD$599. The portal will also inform you that the unit itself will ship early in July. Early pre-orders – the first 1000, according to an official Facebook post – will get a free iLike PowerBank together with their new phone.
The Find 7 is available in the same color schemes as the Find 7a – white, astro black, and midnight. Under the hood, the Find 7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor – four cores running at 2.5Ghz. It gives users a generous serving of the faster LPDDR3 RAM, 3GBs of it to be exact. The display will also be a delicious Quad HD 5.5 inch screen, with a 2560×1440 native resolution. The pixel count for this beautiful beast ramps up to 538 PPI, making sure that you get all the eye-candy you need.
There is very little here not to like, and a lot that is cool and wonderful. We’ve already mentioned the 13MP rear camera that, because of a software process, is able to take super-detailed 50 megapixel (!!) images. The device will have 32GB of storage space as default, but you can bump that up to 128GBs via microSD. If you want one, go ahead and pre-order here.
