The OPPO R7 is one of the brand’s latest successful series. It was announced together with an R7 Plus in China last May but it was only last month when the latter was listed for pre-order in Europe and the US. Another variant called the R7 Lite was also rolled out, obviously as a slightly lower version of the R7. And who can forget the 1st FC Barcelona Special Edition of the R7 Plus?
Another variant was rumored to arrive after being spotted on TENAA. Actually, we mentioned two variants because two certifications and different radios were noted by the Chinese FCC. But it’s here now: OPPO has recently launched the stylish R7s smartphone joining its older R7 siblings we’ve already seen the past few months.
The OPPO R7s still looks like the rest of the R7 series but it’s got a bigger battery now. The phone comes equipped with a 3070mAh plus VOOC Flash Charge technology. It’s smaller compared to the R7 Plus’ 4,100mAh battery but OPPO says it can last all day. The VOOC technology brings two hours of talk time to the phone even after only five minutes of charging.
OPPO R7s features a 5.5-inch arc edge screen, ultra narrow 2.2mm screen bezel, Qualcomm MSM8939 Octa-core processor (Snapdragon 615), 4GB RAM for faster speed and loading, 32GB built-in storage, 13MP rear-facing camera, 8MP front-facing shooter, 4G/LTE connectivity, and dual SIM support. Smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and ColorOS 2.1 UI out of the box.
No details on exact pricing and availability yet but it’s set to arrive in November as another mid-range Android phone.
