Oppo F19

After the OPPO F9, the Chinese OEM may be launching the OPPO F19. We’re doubting the existence of an OPPO F10 based on the latest images we’ve seen. The photos below are design sketches of the upcoming smartphone from OPPO. They mainly explain the camera with three modules–dual rear and one selfie shooter. The only related information we have was for the OPPO foldable smartphone which will be announced at MWC 2019. We don’t think it’s the same but another model.

The most interesting detail has something to do with the 10x lossless zoom technology that may be found on the dual rear cameras and even the single front-facing shooter. A 10x zoom lens isn’t exactly new but the keyword here is “lossless”.

The lossless idea used to be just a dream but we don’t doubt such technology will be available in the near future. Lossless audio is now possible while lossless zoom may be a reality soon.

The 10x lossless zoom may be possible with a mirror. We’re not sure how it’s going to happen but here is a video explanation:

The upcoming OPPO F19 phone will have a full display. We don’t see any notch but there might be an embedded front camera. Simply put, OPPO may be planning an under-display selfie camera aside from the on-screen fingerprint sensor.

The phone may feature a 6.3-inch 19.5:9 FullView display, Corning Gorilla Glass 6, dual rear camera system with flash, VOOC flash charging, and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, or an MTK Helio P90 chipset. We can look forward to AI-focused functions and other smart camera features such as multiple object recognition, real-time photo and video adjustments, and better automatic exposure.

We’re assuming the OPPO F19 will remain as another mid-range phone from the Chinese brand. It could be around $300.

As for the announcement and market release, we’re guessing an H2 reveal because the OPPO F9 was launched sometime in August this year. OPPO could be changing its marketing strategies to improve sales and revenue so let’s wait and see.
