Chinese phone maker Oppo has recently introduced a new budget smartphone. Oppo may be busy working on a folding smartphone prototype but it hasn’t forgotten the entry-level category. The latest addition to the budget market is the Oppo A37 that is priced at only $199 but with specs that are impressive enough like the 2.5D curved edges, Gorilla Glass 4, and Snapdragon 410 processor.

The new Oppo A37 comes equipped with a 5.0-inch IPS LCD screen, 720p resolution, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, and a 2630mAh battery. There’s a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB maximum. The handset has a triple-card slot so a microSD card slot and two nanoSIM cards can be used at the same time.

When it comes to imaging, the Oppo A37 uses a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 lens and an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 lens and a 1/3.2-inch sensor. There’s also the screen flash for taking better selfies plus the Ultra HD mode that helps capture high-quality 24MP images.

The unit only runs Android 5.1 Lollipop topped by ColorOS 3.0 which is Oppo’s own UI. If you are in Singapore, you can now buy one for only $215 (SGD). A few days from now on June 25, Indonesians will be able to purchase the new affordable smartphone.
