If you are a user of the OnePlus One smartphone running cyanogen, a new update is apparently ready to roll out. Reposts have surfaced indicating that some users have received the notification that a new update for the device is ready to install.
A user who was on 12.0-YNG1TAS0YL received a notification of an update for Cyanogen to YNG1TAS17L. The update has a description that says the update will provide users with power improvements and security enhancements for their device. The update is listed as 598.4MB in size.
After the update installs, the phone will prompt users to train the phone to recognize their voice. That indicates voice control might be a big part of this update. If you are unfamiliar with the OnePlus One smartphone, it became available without an invite earlier this month.
The phone sells for somewhere around $350 with no contract. It is offered in a white version with 16GB of storage or a 64GB version in black. Inside it has a Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, and 4G LTE capability. The rear camera is a 13MP unit with a Sony Exmor sensor and f/2.0 aperture. It also has Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS.
