There are a lot of reliable cloud services out there, like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. So developers continue to add more new features for their apps to make them stand out from the crowd. Microsoft’s OneDrive is pretty useful as well, and now the latest update to the Android app brings a new thing called Discover View which will help you see relevant content, both created by you and your contacts, as well as trending information from other users.

While you probably just want your cloud service to do the basic thing which is upload your files and let you access it from anywhere and share it with relevant contacts like colleagues, classmates, friends. But Microsoft also believes that you need to have more contextual information and relevant content based on the files that you access and the people that you share them with. That’s what Discover View is bringing to OneDrive users.

When you use the feature, you’ll be able to see a mix of files that you’ve created and uploaded on the cloud, as well as those from users you constantly share files with. But it will also recommend to you some other content you might find relevant and helpful, based on the things you’re currently working on. So it also becomes like a content aggregator, except that you see it on your OneDrive directly, and you can save the content as well.

The update is already rolling out to OneDrive Android users. You can wait for the notification or you can manually check it as well.
