The Nokia 7 broke cover during the last quarter of 2017 with Bothies feature, 6GB RAM, and a Snapdragon 630 processor. A Nokia 7 Plus variant soon hit Geekbench with a Snapdragon 660 chipset inside and images and specs were leaked again before the MWC 2018. The Nokia 7+ launched with Android 8.0 Oreo but may be ready with Android One. We haven’t got our hands-on feature but the smartphone has already reached Zack Nelson’s grasp. This means the phone gets durability tested. So will it survive the famous Scratch, Burn, and Bend Test? Watch the video below to find out:

Nokia has always been fast in releasing new phones and updates. The Nokia 7 was quickly followed by the Nokia 7 Plus after only a few months. At first glance, the new Nokia phone looks premium with its impressive-looking build quality. Looks like the phone is ready for rough use despite the ceramic feel it offers. The device looks solid and pretty classy with the copper and dark tones. The back feels like smooth plastic. The front display is covered by a Gorilla Glass 3 so it scratches at level 6 with a deeper groove at level 7.

The phone is metal all over–copper on the edges with silver aluminum. Even the SD card tray is metal. The phone comes with dual cameras protected by glass so they don’t scratch.

The fingerprint scanner at the back scratches but still works. What’s more interesting about the Nokia 7 Plus is the back panel made of six layers of ceramic paint. Unfortunately, it still scratches but no doubt the look and feel before scratching are premium and solid.

The 1080p IPS LCD screen burns after 10 seconds, leaves a black mark but still recovers after sometime. Applying pressure to the back shows no problem. Even bending from the front glass does nothing so you know this Nokia 7 Plus is pretty solid.

We agree this Nokia 7 Plus can be considered as another big hit from Nokia. It’s basically a stepped-up and improved version of the Nokia 7 with Snapdragon 660, Android Oreo, 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM. We’re reminded by this phone why Nokia was once called the top phone maker because the devices can really last a long time. This is really impressive but it’s nothing that will intimidate you because of its affordability. Needless to say, Nokia has another winner in this phone. The idea of an Android One Nokia 7 Plus won’t change that but let’s wait and see.
