We have a feeling that we’ll know more of new streaming services and related offers in the coming months. The past few days, we’ve been featuring new apps and plans from different companies venturing into this arena. Even mobile carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile have jumped into the bandwagon by offering special data plans. For AT&T, the carrier has begun offering DirecTV now service in different bundles.
In its commitment to push the service and technology, AT&T has just launched a new streaming service for Live TV and On Demand. It’s a new standalone app that lets you enjoy sports, TV shows, events, and news in real-time. This means that as some channels air on TV, you can watch them right on your smartphone or tablet. It offers instant access to the regular TV networks without having to pay for a TV subscription.
This new DIRECTV NOW app brings live TV to mobile. You are free to access over a hundred live channels such as Food Network, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, ABC, and NBC. This is mobile TV on demand–something we’ve been wishing for since the technology was introduced.
DIRECTV NOW also gives you access to thousands of episodes, shows, and movies via streaming. For an extra $5 dollars, you can also be given access to some premium channels. App is ready for most platforms–tablet, smartphone, Roku, Android TV, and Apple TV. Watch live TV with a 7-day free trial.
Download DIRECT TV NOW from the Google Play Store
Don’t work on rooted devices
Correction: No Support for Android TV!!!! Also, you can only use two streams at a time. This is a show stopper for many who have families.
